The Story of the Earth and the Moon

The night is dark although the Moon is bright
Where did it come from was wondered in time
After many years it has come to light
For this is how goes this beautiful rhyme

Was four and a half billion years ago
Two were around eight minutes from the Sun
Until an impact they would undergo
As chaos ensued Theia was undone

After gravity gathered all the bits
It’s the end of their magnificent growth
Save for the impacts that left several pits
For us to visit as we walked on both

Isn’t it lovely that you are attune
To the story of the Earth and the Moon?
