About

I am a postdoctoral researcher at the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Lab in Laurel, Maryland. As a planetary theorist I use fundamentals of physics, chemistry, and geology along with computer programming and data analysis to understand the early solar system. I am particularly interested in the thermal and chemical evolution of the Moon and how large impacts affected the evolution of planets.

I am also very passionate about science education. I truly believe the quest to have a more scientifically literate population is worth pursuing since it would lead to a better society in the future. To that end, I am studying how emotions affect learning in the hope that it will help us understand how to teach science more effectively.
